Observations and speculations on the numerous believed to be Ball specific porcelain lined lids found mostly in old dumps. It was a good mix of small town and private farm and home dumps. Identification code was just created to organize findings. I have tried to list them in somewhat of a chronological order based on several factors. No qty is listed on the B3-4 thru -7 they are all modern and very common but were not found much in the old dumps. They are possibly concurrent issue types. It would be tough to put an order of issue dates on those. I also don’t have any numbers on SMS lids, however I did find a small number of them over the years. I cleaned those and Hero and CFJ lids up as I found them . They are put away safely here somewhere but I haven’t run across them yet. I will post again the types of SMS caps I have when I find them again.
